Dr. Howard Kea of Gaithersburg, Marlyland is an organizational development professional for the Federal Government and an internationally certified instructor of the Soo Bahk Do® karate martial art system.

In addition to his Ph.D. academic credentials, he also holds a master level rank in the Soo Bahk Do® karate martial art system and is a certified master instructor (Sa Bom).

Dr. Kea is dedicated to the positive personal growth of his students and to charitable endeavors in the Gaithersburg, Maryland community where he volunteers his time teaching the Soo Bahk Do® karate system to elementary school students.

Dr. Kea began his martial art career in the Philippines in 1964 studying Judo and in 1993 he began his study of the Soo Bahk Do® karate martial art system which was created by martial art legend Hwang Kee who founded his first Moo Duk Kwan® school in Yang San Ku Korea November 9, 1945.

In 1998 Dr. Kea began teaching in Silver Spring, Maryland and two years later D.C. Metro Soo Bahk Do was opened at Sligo Creek Elementary School in Silver Spring, Maryland.  In 2007, Dr. Kea incorporated his school as a non-profit organization.
